~ Sweet Sensual ~ Summer Awakening through Continuum
Saturday July 15 ~ 1-5pm
Instructor: Mary Abrams
Summer brings us out into the sun, wind, water, and earth as we walk, bike, swim,
sit on the beach, camp, picnic, and play outdoors. Our senses come alive with the
brilliance of nature’s light, warmth, and living intelligence. Summer is a time of
growing, expanding, and moving out into life. As we see, hear, smell, taste, and
touch the world around us, our entire body awakens with aliveness. Exploring the
breath-sound and fluid movement practices of Continuum can support our ability
to experience the sensual delight and ease of summer all year round indoors and
out of doors. Join us for this afternoon of awakening and attending a more
integrated and healthy experience of sensuality for loving life from deep within
the intelligence of our breathing-moving bodies.

Summer Continuum
Instructor: Bobbie Ellis
August 12th ~ The Layers of Self
Continuum is an approach to exploring how we live in, and move through, our bodies. It is a portal to a deeper awareness of, and connection to, embodiment, movement, learning, growth, well-being, and creativity. Attention to internal experience through breath, sound, meditative awareness, and fluid movement expands our experience of embodiment and opens us to new possibilities of inhabiting our bodies and expressing ourselves through them.
Emergent ideas, potent images, and interesting themes set the ground for movement exploration. Different movements are combined with breath and sound to encourage embodied, mindful exploration of the idea, image or theme. We often change our relationship to gravity to invite new internal feedback and information. The pace of this series will be at times very quiet, slow, and meditative, with participants exploring nearly invisible micro-movements. We will also explore fast and lively movements in large wave-like, spiraling motions. This way of being helps us to “move well”.

Classic Sivananda Yoga Immersion
The 5 Points of Yoga
In the ancient writings such as the Upanishads, we learn that truth-seekers believed the purpose of life goes beyond the inevitable cycle of birth, growth, change, decay & death. That the purpose of life requires a strong body and keen intellect, which can be fostered by following an integrated system for daily living. This includes:
Proper Exercise
Proper Breathing
Proper Diet
Positive Thinking & Meditation
Proper Relaxation
When practiced as a lifestyle, we are actually always ‘doing’ yoga!

Weekly Yoga & Movement Classes
EveryBody Yoga
Weekly - Mondays 7-8:15pm
Instructor: Susan Winkler
As Sue always reminds her class, everyBody is different! This is why Sue designs her classes with a focus of making them accessible to every Body. The intent is to provide space where students can connect with their body, mind and soul. The class begins with a 15 minute meditation to allow students to “arrive” and ground in their practice. The class then moves into asanas (yoga poses) designed to build strength, increase flexibility and practice balance. All asanas are provided with variations that allow students to be exactly where they are in their journey. The class focuses on finding your “edge”, where you are challenging yourself to build and improve, while being careful to listen to and honor your body. Classes end with the traditional sivasana, or final relaxation pose, allowing your body, mind and spirit to integrate the asanas and pranayama (breath work) that have been done during the class. This class caters to all levels – everyBody!

Soul Motion
Weekly - Tuesdays 7-8pm (8 sessions July 11 thru August 29)
Instructor: Ruchi Jain
Soul Motion can be many things. What it is, at its heart, is a creative play. Like all movement, it helps locate where we actually are, in our body, in our heart, and in our mind, and Spirit. It is a class about relationships. We learn to build first our relationship with ourselves, before engaging with each other, and then the community, and finally the Spirit in everything. In this series of classes, we will engage in a series of ‘experiments’ aimed at helping the participant be in their bodies and in their hearts. We will engage in movement as it comes naturally through us, in our creativity. The experiments may look like walking through the room with attention, pausing, floor exercises, and working with a partner. You could say it is a ‘dance class’, but that would be minimizing the width and breadth of what it actually is. It is really a class to help you find home in yourself, in your body, and in your own creative flow.
ALL WELCOME.

“Soma” in Greek language means the living body. In this all level yoga and movement class we use Asana (yoga postures) and breath with a great awareness on how it feels inside. In being mindful to our own personal edges, we are guided by sensation rather than just outward cuing from the outer teacher, in this way we find our inner teacher. This develops a sense of self agency and in-powerment that can only be found in the quiet of your own body. We finish with deep relaxation and embodied meditation practices.
